Spatial designer with Japanese and Slovak heritage, working at the intersection of stillness, light, and material. Focused on creating calm through the subtle interplay of natural light and shadow.

Growing up between Tokyo and Prague shaped a deep sensitivity to atmosphere and the quiet details that define how space feels. The contrast between these two cultures—one rooted in minimalism and the other rich in historical texture—continues to influence a design approach that values nuance, restraint, and emotional clarity.

Experience includes an internship at Kamiya Architects in Tokyo, a studio known for blending Nordic lighting sensibilities with Japanese craftsmanship. Currently based in Amsterdam, contributing to Time & Style—a furniture company that brings together Japanese artisanal tradition and contemporary Western design.

At the heart of this practice is the concept of Ma—the space between—where stillness, time, and perception meet. Each design reflects a sensitivity to transitions: light filtering through surfaces, the quiet shift between open and closed, and the rhythm of movement through space. Rather than aiming for visual impact or efficiency alone, the work encourages reflection, calm, and a deeper connection to the spaces we inhabit.

This approach carries through all projects—regardless of scale or medium—creating environments where presence is felt, not forced, and beauty unfolds through light, shadow, and time.
